Kahau janm shubh katha tumhaari, ati shuchi paavan mangalkaari.
Let me narrate your holy and auspicious birth story.

Ek samay Giriraj kumaari, putra hetu tap keenha bhaari.
Once Goddess Parvati did intense penance to attain a son.

Bhayo yagya jab poorn anoopa, tab pahunchyo tum dhari dwij roopa.
When the yajna was successfully completed, you arrived in the form of a Brahmin.

Atithi jaani ke Gauri sukhari, bahuvidhi seva kari tumhaari.
Seeing you as a guest, Parvati happily served you with devotion.

Ati prasann hvai tum var deenha, maatru putra hit jo tap keenha.
Being pleased, you blessed her: “You will have a son without bearing pregnancy.”

Milahi putra tuhi buddhi vishaala, bina garbh dhaaran yahi kaala.
You shall receive a son with great intellect, born without pregnancy.

Gannayak gun gyaan nidhaana, poojit pratham roop bhagvaana.
You are the Lord of Ganas, treasure of wisdom and virtues, worshipped first among all gods.

As kahi antardhaan roop hvai, paalna par baalak swaroop hvai.
Saying this, you vanished—and a divine child appeared in the cradle.

Bani shishu rudan jabahi tum thaana, lakhi mukh sukh nahi Gauri samaana.
As the baby cried, Parvati’s joy knew no bounds.

Sakal magan sukhmangal gaavahi, nabh te suran suman varshaavahi.
Everyone rejoiced, sang auspicious songs; gods showered flowers from the heavens.

 Shani Episode & Elephant Head

Shambhu, Uma, bahudaan lutaavahi, sur munijan sut dekhan aavahi.
Shiva and Parvati gave gifts; gods and sages came to see the divine child.

Lakhi ati anand mangal saaja, dekhan bhi aaye Shani raaja.
Seeing the great celebration, even Lord Shani came.

Nij avgunn guni Shani man maahin, baalak dekhan chaahat naahin.
But mindful of his curse, Shani hesitated to look at the child.

Girija kachu man bhed badhaayo, utsav mor na Shani tuhi bhaayo.
Parvati was hurt and questioned Shani for avoiding her child.

Kahat lage Shani, man sakuchaai, ka karihau shishu mohi dikhaai.
Shani reluctantly agreed and glanced at the child.

Padatahi Shani drig kon prakaasha, baalak sir udi gayo akaasha.
As Shani looked, his fierce gaze caused the child’s head to fly off.

Girija giri vikal hvai dharanee, so dukh dasha gayo nahin varnee.
Parvati collapsed; her grief was indescribable.

Haahakaar machyo Kailaasha, Shani keenhon lakhi sut ko naasha.
Kailash echoed with cries; all blamed Shani.

Turat Garud chadhi Vishnu siddhaayo, kaati chakra so gaj sir laayo.
Lord Vishnu flew on Garuda, cut an elephant’s head and brought it.

Baalak ke dhad upar dhaaryo, praan mantra padhi Shankar daaryo.
They placed it on the child’s body; Shiva gave him life with mantras.

Naam Ganesh Shambhu tab keenhe, pratham poojya buddhi nidhi var deenhe.
Shiva named him Ganesh and blessed him to be worshipped first and known for wisdom.

Buddhi Test & Glory

Buddhi pareeksha jab Shiv keenha, prithvi kar pradakshina leenha.
Shiva once tested Ganesha’s wisdom—to circumambulate the world.

Chale Shadanana bharami bhulaai, rache baith tum buddhi upaai.
Kartikeya left to travel the world, but Ganesh devised a clever solution.

Ganesha circled his parents, considering them the entire universe.

Dhani Ganesh kahi Shiv hiye harshe, nabh te suran suman bahu barse.
Shiva rejoiced, declared Ganesh blessed; gods showered flowers from the heavens.

Tumhari mahima buddhi badaai, Shesh sahas mukh sake na gaai.
Even Sheshnaag with a thousand mouths cannot fully sing your glory.

Main matiheen maleen dukhari, karhoon kaun vidhi vinay tumhari.
I am ignorant and impure—how can I properly pray to you?

Bhajat Ramsundar Prabhu daasa, Jag Prayag, Kakra, Durvaasa.
Your devotees like Ram Sundar, Rishi Durvasa—have all sung your praises.

Ab Prabhu daya deena par keeje, apni shakti bhakti kuch deeje.
O Lord, now please bless this humble soul with your grace and devotion.
