Kshīrasindhu jab Vishnu mathāyo, chaudah ratn sindhu mein pāyo॥
When the ocean was churned by Lord Vishnu, fourteen gems were obtained from the ocean.
Chaudah ratn mein tum sukharāsī, sevā kiyo Prabhu bani dāsī॥
Among them, you were the treasure of joy, and you served the Lord as his consort.
Jab jab janm jahān Prabhu līnhā, rūp badal tahan sevā kīnhā॥
Wherever the Lord incarnated, you took form and served him.
Swayam Vishnu jab nar tanu dhārā, līnheu Avadhpurī avatārā॥
When Vishnu incarnated as a human in Ayodhya—
Tab tum pragat Janakpur māhīn, sevā kiyo hriday pulkāhīn॥
—you manifested in Janakpur and served him with delight.
Apnāyā tohi antaryāmī, vishv vidit tribhuvan kī swāmī॥
The all-knowing Lord accepted you, and you are worshipped across the three worlds.
Tum sam prabal shakti nahīn ānī, kahan lau mahimā kahun bakhānī॥
There is no power as strong as yours—how far can I describe your greatness?
Man kram vachan karai sevkāī, man ichchhit vāñchhit phal pāī॥
One who serves you in thought, word, and deed gains their desired wishes.
Taji chhal kapat aur chaturāī, pūjahin vivid bhānti manlāī॥
Those who worship you sincerely, giving up deceit and ego, attain your grace.
Aur haal main kahun bujhāī, jo yah pāṭh karai man lāī॥
Now hear this: Whoever reads this Chalisa with focus—

Trāhi trāhi jai dukh nivāriṇi, trividh tāp bhav bandhan hāriṇī॥
Hail to you, O remover of sorrow! You destroy the threefold miseries and bondage of birth.

Putra-hīn aru sampatti hīnā, andh badhir kodhī ati dīnā॥
Those without children or wealth, or suffering from blindness, deafness, or leprosy—

Vipra bolāy kai pāṭh karāvai, śankā dil mein kabhī na lāvai॥
—should call a Brahmin to recite this with faith, never doubting its power.

Pāṭh karāvai din chālīsā, tā par kripā karaim Gaurīsā॥

Bārah mās karai jo pūjā, tehi sam dhanya aur nahīn dūjā॥
He who worships for twelve months is the most fortunate of all.

Pratidin pāṭh karai man māhīn, un sam koī jag mein kahun nāhīn॥
One who recites this daily with devotion—none in the world is as blessed as they.

Bahuvidhi kyā main karau baḍāī, leya parīkṣā dhyān lagāī॥
Why should I boast further? Test it by practicing with devotion.

Kari viśvās karai vrat nemā, hoy siddh upjai ur premā॥
With faith and discipline, all desires are fulfilled and true devotion blossoms.

Jai jai jai Lakṣmī Bhavānī, sab mein vyāpit ho guṇ khānī॥
Victory, victory to you, O Lakshmi Bhavani! You dwell in all and are the mine of virtues.

Tumharo tej prabal jag māhīn, tum sam kou dayālu kahun nāhīn॥
Your power shines across the world—none is as merciful as you.

Mohi anāth kī sudhi ab lījai, sankat kāṭi bhakti mohi dījai॥
Look kindly upon me, an orphan—remove my troubles and grant me devotion.

Bhool chook kari kṣamā hamārī, darshan dajai daśā nihārī॥
Forgive my mistakes and give me your divine vision, knowing my condition.

Bin darshan vyākul adhikārī, tumhi achhat dukh sahate bhārī॥
Without your darshan, your devotee suffers deeply—please relieve the pain.

Nahin mohi jñān buddhi hai tan mein, sab jānat ho apne man mein॥
I have no knowledge or intellect, yet you know all that is in my heart.

Rūp chaturbhuj karke dhāraṇ, kaṣṭ mor ab karahu nivāraṇ॥
Please assume your four-armed form and remove my sufferings.
