Pitru dev

Pitru Dev are our divine ancestors, worshipped for their blessings, guidance, and peace in the family. They dwell in Pitru Loka and are honored through Shraddha, Tarpan, and Pind Daan. Without Pitru’s grace, even divine worship is incomplete. Their blessings remove Pitru Dosha, bring family harmony, and ensure lineage prosperity.

 ॐ नमो भगवते पितृमात्रे स्वधा नमः।

Om Namah Pitribhyah, Swadha Namah
Tripindi Pitarah Preetyartham, Tilodakam Samarpayami

Pitru Suktam Vedic Mantra

 “उदितं जातवेदसं पितॄन् आ वह मर्षय। अश्वैः सुक्रीतयः सुताः स्वधा ऋते य आसते॥”

"Uditam Jatavedsam Pitrin ā vaha Marshaya, Ashvaih Sukritayah Sutah Swadha ṛite ya Asate."

This powerful Rigvedic invocation is chanted during Tarpan, Shraddha, and Pitru Homa. It calls upon the divine fire (Agni) to summon the ancestral spirits and invite them to partake in the offerings with satisfaction and grace. The mantra expresses devotion, gratitude, and spiritual duty toward our forefathers.
